This year earth day is celebrated on April 22nd but every day should be earth day! There are many ways to give back to your planet and small changes can make a big difference when working to reduce an environmental footprint. Here are ten tips to help you make the earth a better place!
1. Plant a Tree
What a better way to celebrate the planet by giving it a gift of a new tree? Trees improve air quality by filtering harmful dust and pollutants from the air we breathe.
2. Reduce Your Waste
Ditch the plastic bags and invest in reusable bags while shopping! Start shopping at a farmers market for fruits and vegetables not only you would help reduce waste but also supports local farmers!
3. Reuse Materials
You can reuse everyday items from jars, pots, newspapers, cardboard, old clothes and even tires! Turn empty jars and pots into small containers, and even bird feeders for the outside. Save newspaper and cardboard boxes for future packing, gift uses and even moving. Turn old clothes in rags for cleaning or even pet toys!
